I've briefly typed on someone else's ErgoDox but it's not the same. The Kinesis is not just split, the keys for each hand are in a concave bowl.

Same situation here; the ErgoDox has better key switch options but the Kinesis has better overall ergonomics. https://jakeseliger.com/2009/07/20/kinesis-advantage
