I had an autopilot/trim issues once on the approach right after FAF in solid IMC (later turned out that one of wires got loose). Similar symptoms as above. I didn’t debug anything, simply killed AP, and hand flew the rest of the approach. It was exactly the response my instrument instructor trained me to do and he was very happy when I discussed it with later.
