I have to imagine chess players are more certain as to whether they got a move wrong rather than whether they got it right?




I would imagine that it doesn't have to be instantaneous. A few minutes is probably fine, maybe longer in some circumstances.


These days, chess players get to find out after the game when they check the all knowing computer. Fifty years ago, even if you played at the highest and most scrutinized levels of chess, you might not find out your move was objectively a mistake for years.
