I already searched feeds up in my feed reader, but only because the existing Firefox feature was poorly-integrated. I never could figure out how to have it redirect feeds to a reader. I wanted something like the way you can add search engines, but for third-party RSS readers.

The feature as it was didn't work very well, and they obviously weren't going to improve it. So maybe it's for the best that they remove it.
