Developing code, especially complicated algorithms and data structures, is all about proofs. Not long, formal proofs but the kind of informal proof you do in your head to convince yourself that your code will work. Studying maths will give you a hell of a lot of practice working with proofs and exposure to lots of different ways of proving things. Even if I didn't use any of the material I learned that will still be valuable.
