It's true. When I first started programming, I was simultaneously learning PHP, Python, Java, SQL, ActionScript, Perl, and Javascript for different classes I was taking and projects I was involved in. When I look back at that time, I wonder how that was even possible mentally. I remember setting up my IDE (which was at that time TextPad) to represent different languages in different colors (I think Java was blue, Perl was brown, and Python was green IIRC).
I've been trying to settle into the exploitation phase now with Ruby, but circumstances are forcing me back into polyglot mode. It's pretty frustrating because it feels like a demotion. Alas, but that's just how the industry is.
