Before moving down to the bay area and working at YourMechanic I interviewed with them as well. I had one phone and one take home project before getting to talk to an engineer. The guy honestly seemed more interested in my oil and gas projects and what connections I had to the industry than actually hiring anyone. He didn't ask any technical or software related questions. I got the vibe they're a little disorganized and in search of diversifying their product.
