He replied to a tweet of mine and I still have it bookmarked and screenshotted to this day. My GF didn't understand why I was so excited

Printed and framed, right?

For a while, before TCP/IP really became "the" network protocol, IPX/SPX was also around and a lot of games used it. Red Alert 2, Descent 1 & 2, etc all used IPX/SPX.

Yeah, setting up IPX circa 2010 to play Dungeon Keeper 1 in multiplayer 15 years late was quite the puzzle ! Especially since I didn't have admin access to those computers... at first.

He is saying that those profitable powerful industries will lobby the government to help increase it's profit though various means.

I did the same thing, pulled up my pfSense config in a VM side-by-side with the fresh OPNSense install and manually ported everything over.

Kind of a pain, sure, but I felt better knowing it was a fresh build and everything was where it should be.

I switched to OPNSense (fork of pfSense) years ago and have been very happy with it. Consistent, reliable updates, and easy to understand interface.

Along comes the people salty they didn't take the risk, and want to steal the money from the people who did take the risk. It's a tale as old as time.

I wintered over in Antarctica in 2016. Drinking definitely increased during the dark months.
