There's a difference between developing on Windows and developing for Windows.

That would mean they get published without any checks - an easy attack vector for malware.

If pull requests are auto accepted sure? But that shouldn't normally be the case.

This is awesome - I was actually in the middle of building something similar (but not using Keybase for verification... that would have been so much better than rolling my own).

I don't trust a "smart" device to spend my money. The first thing I do when I get a new Echo is disable the ability to make purchases.

The iPhone is a beast and a market leader - that is known, and shown in these results.

The Mac however is in decline - Apple seem to have abandoned it in favour of their cash cow (as many on here have complained) and these results just further prove it.

This feeling is known as impostor syndrome and is extremely common amongst knowledge workers (especially programmers). I haven't found any good resources for overcoming it - it generally persists for a long time, even when the person is very senior and experienced.

It's imposter syndrome if you don't feel confident and Dunning Kruger if you feel over confident.

You need middle confidence

I don't believe that developers should be penalised for having empty GitHub profiles. Not everyone is an open source software contributor and that is a silly yardstick to use to judge people.

That said, if you know your GitHub profile is not going to help your CV, just plain don't include it.

I have played around with Google's Cloud Vision API and it is the best OCR I have ever experienced - a big step up from my old poorly trained tesseract setup.

In my experience, on-prem installations have to be manually upgraded by someone at the company. I haven't come across many auto-updating appliances. As a result you will likely end up having to keep supporting even very old versions of the software which can become a nightmare. You can of course tell clients that you won't support anything but the latest few versions to force them to upgrade.
