This is being considered a precursor to the CBDC. States coming out against this(NC, SD, FL) are fighting this in the name of american freedom, but I wonder how many people consider it the mark of the beast.

The mark of the beast?

There's a part in the Biblical Book of Revelations dealing with prophecies of the end times and coming of the Antichrist that describes the government that will be set up under the Antichrist's rule. The "Mark of the Beast" is a sign or seal that will be placed on peoples' hand or head, and no one will be able to buy or sell goods without that sign.

Throughout history, just about every new technology related to money or identity, from the serial numbers on dollar bills to social security numbers to RFID chips (to of course secret microchips in vaccines,) has been interpreted by fringe Christians as being the Mark of the Beast. Of course they're always wrong, because Revelations was about Nero Caesar, but that never stops them.
