Hey Spencer,

thanks for building this. I'll try it out - I identify quite a lot with your description/motivation of why you build this.

I noticed one (small) problem with the website: The newsletter signup button does not work. It looks like you are missing the gatsby-plugin-mailchimp (based on the console error).

Good luck to you!

Thanks for pointing that out! An issue with my Gatsby config. I just resolved it and it should work now

I am sad to hear this. I have been using uMatrix now for quite some time, it has always been one of the extensions I install directly after setting up a new browser (together with uBlock Origin).

If the author, Raymond Hill, ends up reading this: thank you Sir, for all the (probably unpaid!) effort you have been putting into this extension for years. It's certainly an inspiration to actively contribute to the open source community.

I am a native german speaker. The recommendations in the screenshot are quit good and are also correct from a grammar point of view.

archive.org snapshot, since the site is unresponsive right now: https://web.archive.org/web/20200403170513/https://forum.kha...

thank you for bringing these products to my attention :-)

I love stories like this one. It gives me sooo much motivation to dig deeper into CS (I'm in college, studying CS while working as a developer).

Often I feel CS isolates me from the world around me which stops me from digging deeper in CS. But articles like this reinforce the thought that this might just be a question of the right environment.

It has always been a childhood dream of mine to work on (or in) space. I won't make it to NASA (they only take Americans) unfortunately. But hopefully I'll make it to ESA or one of the other private companies that are going to exist in the EU in the future.

Thanks for posting this <3

If you want to work _on_ space then anecdotally I don't believe it's true that you have to be American citizen to work at NASA/JPL (you need a work visa etc.). However ESA and others are doing plenty of cool things also!

nice project. the font makes it a bit hard to read imo tho.

Thanks for the info, what font do you suggest I should use?

Thank you. This seems pretty neat!

Thank you for posting this + giving all the people commenting here a chance to express their thoughts about this topic.

The "# headlines", the "* bullet points" would parse as valid markdown. Which would give the headlines visual style to distinguish them from the other part of the content.
