This just seems like the free market at work? Not sure why so many of my fellow HNers have a problem with this. As a fellow user, kamaal, once said to me, I'd love to be there working for Musk and experiencing all he has to offer.
The thing with pick up trucks is that they're actually really fucking practical. For people who want to be self reliant and can afford one, they're a no brainer. You've got one vehicle that can function as a car, a van, a camper van (with a demountable pod) or tow a trailer. They can go off road, and they've got enough power to help other people out if they've got into a sticky situation.
Warn vs. ban is affected by a number of variables including account age, how badly and/or frequently it has been posting abusively, whether it's primarily posting abusively, whether there's evidence of past abuses with other accounts, and probably some others I'm not thinking of just now.
It's crazy that it's slower than an Electron app! Like most HNers, I fully believe that any JavaScript is slower than native, so how can this be false for this app???
The post said that Thunderbird is an app running on top of Firefox, so it's not much different than an Electron app. There are probably many more layers than a native one. Slowness is too new expected but actually I never felt that Thunderbird is slow. I use it daily.
More recently yes, but historically it was from the British Empire. US's influence has helped expand it to many countries that never had former extensive use of English creating many new second language speakers, but in terms of first language speakers, the British Empire is still the cause of almost all of them.
You've crossed into harassing that other user. This is not ok. Even supposing that they posted something lame, that's just how internet forums work. What you're doing here is aggressive and uncool, so please stop.
