Think about -
1) A time when you wanted to attend an event overseas but were worried if you will have enough money or time to attend the event, or if will you be able to take a leave from your work.
2) Or about a time when you had to travel or send an employee thousands of miles for one or two business meetings and spend thousands of dollars on the arrangement of trip.
3) The time when you had all the right documents, invitations from the event, a paid trip but still could not attend the event or meeting due to immigration issues.
Did you wonder in such situations if you could use a magic spell and teleport yourself to the event and experience the awesomeness? Afterall it is only about changing the surroundings in which you are currently present. Well you can definitely access the live telecast of the event but it doesn't allow you to experience a very basic human characteristic – freedom of movement.
Thus we created Splinch, a telepresence robot rental service. Splinch enables you to have a physical presence at events, for $250, when you cannot attend an event in person. It not only helps you save time, money and energy, but also helps in reducing your carbon footprint caused by air travel, hotel use, taxi rides etc.
The rental price will be 400$ per day, but I think we might be able to bring it down to 300$. As per the model of telepresence robot, though we have not talked to anyone officially we are planning on the new Double Robotics model, and also in future on Beam Pro.
