Ikea are absolutely brilliant. Some may have issues with their style or perceived quality however for price and flexibility they dominate.
Other companies are trying to mimic the flat pack business model. However the overall shopping environment, forcible furniture, warranties make them standout.
The sofa is just one example of adaptable furniture. One limitation though is their bed and mattress products. They have different dimensions (unique to ikea) and therefore you need an ikea mattress for a perfect fit.

Are you in a country that uses imperial measures? I have an IKEA Mattress, in a non-IKEA Habitat bedframe, that uses the same non-standard (in the UK) sizes. I assumed it was just a metric standard from continental Europe.
This is fantastic. For most people, this type of stuff goes unnoticed. However this is great. I think we should start compiling a list of similar alignments around the world?
Unlucky you have been curtailed by Apple for now but sure you can rework your model to fit within what is allowable. Keep persevering as you seem to have built a useful application.
Thanks, as said in the post - we’ll keep at it as the only way to find out what’s cool with Apple and what’s not is to submit stuff to them and hope to have a constructive dialog.
HP announced 27k last week. Ericsson proposing 1.7k. Unsurprising those no longer at the top have to reduce their workforce. RIM has dropped the ball recently (two significant public blunders) and their tablet offering is terrible. Firms are considering using iPhone's instead of the popular Blackberry. Times are changing.
You really need a large existing online presence to make Twitter work effectively. We have found Twitter extremely difficult to create any real traffic or interest [1].
We have tried all the usual tips: follower those with similar interests, interact with others, ask people to follow etc etc It just doesn't work. Even when you gain followers (many are spam) they don't click through on links.
Add in all the noise on Twitter we struggle to know the true purpose of twitter.
Funny this blog post is from 2005. I use to have the THX sound play when logging into Windows (sad times).
The Music Thing blog has some other great posts about music and instrument hacks.
The reference to the C code is here:
"The score consists of a C program of about 20,000 lines of code. The output of this program is not the sound itself, but is the sequence of parameters that drives the oscillators on the ASP. That 20,000 lines of code produce about 250,000 lines of statements of the form "set frequency of oscillator X to Y Hertz".
Glad that this is stated on the website. Given the colours and name you may think they are affiliated?
