That is the case only if you want to give your surplus back to the grid.
If you avoid that, you are only limited to a maximum power of 20kW of solar panels installed.
I recently got a 10kWh system installed and it should cover about half my usage. I live in meh-irradiance Canada. Full coverage of my bill in summer, pathetic generation in the summer. So yeah, sunnier places like Italy 10kWh would be perfect -- especially for places with heat pumps and warm winters.
The panels themselves are squares fit into triangular frames. But there is a lot of empty space on the dish installation and this would absolutely use more total panel area.
I don't know why, at least consciously, but I've started to sleep less with the lockdown (italian here): from ~8hrs to ~6hrs, more or less, waking up fresh&ready.
I've also been more energic: I started running and started being more consistent with the weight training, sometimes both in the same day. Also lost 6Kg in the last 4 months!
But work has been the same: no increase or loss in productivity. Lockdown forced WFH, but I used to WFH for years. The only difference is that in the last 10 months I've been going to the office daily because of a new job, enjoyed the atmosphere and the colleagues. And because it was only an 8 minutes commute.
I never read about it here on hn but I used Cardboardfish.com in a couple of projects. The API is similar to the Clickatell's (they are all pretty the same) but I found most of routes to be cheaper.
