Thanks for the suggestion. That wiki page brought me to https://mozilla-services.readthedocs.io/en/latest/howtos/run... which I intend to try out. I want to migrate my a Firefox profile from Windows to Linux and synching seems to be the easiest way to transfer bookmarks and saved passwords.
I do wish it gave me some prompts to do something actionable. Like, "Hey, looks like you could be a little more sophisticated. Why not try..." Or ways to change the balance of my "Website Values" if I want or need to. Your site gives interesting insight nonetheless — I like it.
stay tuned. Step 1-give you the profile (done) Step 2-give you the tools to analyze the results and adjust your brand personality (coming soon). BTW sign up for the Full Profiler to get much more info and analysis, plus add your Twitter account to get analyzed. It's free, too!
thanks for the positivity!
yep, the next step for us is a Brand Blueprint service where we will make recommendations like you mentioned.
awesome for us to get such insightful and honest feedback!
I really like the concept. I know there are other sites that do it too, but I like the simplicity of your site. One comment, the white text can be hard to read with the background image you're using — I like it as a textural element, but maybe it doesn't need to underlay the story.
Ah, I hadn't seen another site similar to this, but I'm not surprised they exist. Thanks for the feedback, that's definitely the number one piece of criticism I keep hearing.
It's a great idea and I realize this is probably your first pass at it. The interface, after you get a results set, is a bit challenging to use — I would definitely use a tool like this a lot if you develop a kick-ass UI around it too!
Ha! At first I thought it was going to be a job site...took a sec to figure out that you meant "a place to sit your butt down with your laptop and work." :-)
Nice work! Thought, for me, it would probably just make me anxious as I watch the minutes and seconds tick away...sort of like watching the clock in school, the more you look at it the slower time seems to go and the more distracted by time you become. That's just me — I'm sure this will be a good motivator for others.
Seems like it would be better as a free app and you make money if I buy the t-shirt (or whatever) through the app. Not sure many be willing to plunk down .99cents when there are so many other, great free weather apps. Neat concept none the less.
Too funny. I work with a lot of clients who get hung up on finding the perfect name before they can get going on their project. My advice is to come up with a "working name" you can live with — don't over think it, you can always change it later. Names you think are stupid at first often mature in your mind as you're working on the product...you'd be surprised how often a working name grows on a client and becomes the name of the product.
Good idea to go MVP and get it out in the world and get some learning going. Of course the down side to MVCs is the user doesn't know it's MVC — some comments might reflect that ;)
Looking forward to seeing where you take this IRC-esq revival!
