How does a domain get hijacked accidentally? Don't domain transfers take a few days and require approval from current domain owner?

The blog post states that the domain was erroneously flagged as belonging to a botnet system by a German law enforcement org, which took control of the domain to "sinkhole" what they assumed was botnet traffic.

Presumably the approval was the accident. (Or not renewing yet, so perhaps no approval necessary.)

Also, 'transfer locks' are a good idea, but not supported by all TLDs.

Liked the games on the site. I think this post could do much better if a proper title is added like "Geogopher - Play Geography Games" or something along those lines. Also change your post from text post to link post. And if you are the author of this site perhaps post a comment to describe what made you develop this and what languages and technologies you have used to develop this.

I made this game because I believe theres a way where people can have fun while learning information that broadens their world view. IMO humans are better when we go through exercises that cause us to consider how big the world is and all of the people in it.
