"Oh and before anyone gets their panties in a bunch..."

I assume that was meant to be ironic, because otherwise, um...

It's alright haha. Irony intended. I knew the response which is just people being PC without actually offering any substantive change. Tbh, I'd rather be openly sexist than to be socially liberal and closet sexist.

Buncha pathetic bros. I think they believe this pitch will actually entice female humanoids to attend.

If this mysogynist debacle comes to pass, I would love to see pictures. Bro-dudes are always funny.

Sad to say, the same thing happened to me and the support messages were unhelpful to say the least. They have several copy-and-paste answers they use far too eagerly.

And it's asinine to ask someone to update billing information when they've locked your account from accessing the billing info page. Two of us have seen that with DO. Makes them look quite sloppy.

So how does this compare to flynn.io?

I'm not involved in Flynn nor Deis, but since Flynn is not available yet (and no source is visible at this point), I would be surprised if anyone could tell :-)

Startup idea:

1) crawl HN for links about X with comments like "How does this compare to Y"

2) present it as a knowledge base of technologies with comparison tables

I'm sympathetic with growing pains, but this kind of bug is pretty much unforgivable. If they haven't patched it today, I'll be shocked.

MetricFire is a great product. Stupid simple to use, reliable, fast, no discernable impact on our production systems to add monitoring. Does what it says, works well.

You just listed all the qualities we're going for - thanks! :D

Let us know if you need anything!

"agile management" is pretty much always going to mean "less management," so it's understandable that management is kind of schizophrenic about the DevOps movement

It's not about less management, it's about trusting your employees and their judgement. Accepting that failures happen and learn from the mistakes.
