I clicked on the link and the video title is "Decoding Escher's most mind-bending piece", which is a lot better. I also had no idea what "3B1B video" meant, apparently it's a channel called "3Blue1Brown".

I had MirageOS and Symbolic and PuzzPack (so I can play BlockDude) on my TI-83+!

Also, I'm glad this website is still up :-)

I remember playing this all the time on my TI-83+. That calculator is where I really learned to program. I wrote programs in TI-BASIC - mostly to solve equations for my math/science classes, but some games too. It's been so long that I don't really remember TI-BASIC, but I was quite good at it in high school.

Haha, same origin story as me. Messing around on that calculator was where I started to understand programming

Wasn't the whole point of Clippy (and the reason people are using Clippy as their avatar on YouTube and other places) that he WASN'T AI? Or, rather that he didn't mine/collect your data and could be used offline and just was there to help.

At home, my ISP gives me native IPv6. At work, we don't have IPv6 (or it's just disabled on the router), so I sometimes use one to test stuff (I use 6Project).

I could use some "help2man." I don't know how to "man" /s

I've had to use [Enter] ~. in SSH sessions before. I've had SSH/network get stuck and using that was the only way to kill the session (and recover).

I guess you could call it a "secret" or at least "not super-well known (to people who aren't Linux 'experts')."

> the Donald Trump of technologies

Outdated, and in need of replacing? Unfit for the position? A poor choice?

WTF are you trying to say? Are you for or against email? You say it's awful, then say it's amazing, I'm confused.

Reading charitably I think he means that it's a shortcut to gaining influence.

In the boomer sense of "go to the store and ask if they need help".

Trump "pushes" his way into things (because he's a disgusting bully), but it largely works.

I think the parent meant it in this way, that email pushes its way into peoples private box, but this is probably same as actually sending a letter to someone.

Obviously, they mean “well crafted and intelligent.” /s

i would argue that they mean "transparent" and "easy to engage with", both of which just seem to be propaganda to my eyes.

I mean perhaps its me being cynical but I read it as meaning the ability for idiots to rub shoulders with giants

i was trying to take their comment in good (relative) faith, but obviously if they're not going to elaborate, anyone is free to draw their own conclusions!

A selling point for me would be a CPU that DOESN'T qualify for "Copilot+".

Does that count as quine?
