You can argue the tooling is still immature... but kmp really has been taking off since cmp has gone stable on ios. The kmp library ecosystem is even getting quite large. Also, kmp has very distinct advantages over React Native and Flutter, they didn't just copy-paste from RN or Flutter.

Sweet, now I can make a cursed android app with views written in switft that use kotlin viewmodels

Jvm desktop is honestly the target with the best support. I always build on desktop during mobile dev first because I don't need to deal with connecting a phone or emulator. Second resizable windows by default is so helpful when building for many screen sizes. Also it has hot-reload now

incremental native builds are getting better at least

Nobody:

Google: serves you Aspirin ads when they notice you are having a heart attack

At least it's not tomb stones...

Super happy about an official lsp. But still mentions:

"Important note: currently, only JVM-only Kotlin Gradle projects are supported out-of-the box."

Like all the 3rd party lsps atm.

Hopefully they add kmp support soon (it's on their roadmap), still worthless for my workflow without kmp.

Kotlin isn't just a jvm languague.
