Beautiful app! It was a no-brainer setup and just worked! It so happened, I was listening to spotify while installing this app and it automatically pulled images and built a nostalgic video for me from the pictures I had stored! Just for that feature alone, I would use it. May be you can think about "centering" pictures and avoid zooming into dull areas etc.

But great inspiring job! Congrats!

Thank you! We're working on exactly that - detecting nice faces and features in your photos to make them look better in your collages and slideshow.

Awesome! Look forward to it.

In 48 hours ? That's very cool! I like the fact that it is minimally good looking website!

48 hours indeed. I've done a lot of small side-projects so I have built up a good amount of reusable components that I can pop in on both the front and back end to push this type of thing even faster.

I can very well empathize with you. I still don't have anything to "show", but am slowly making progress. Baby steps. I started with little bit of javascript and went onto node.js and then setup mongodb. The setup HTML5 + mongodb + node.js is a fertile playground to get few projects complete.

Looks cool! How do you compare against say craigslist ?

thanks. How do I compare? hmmm, good question. Aside from being completely irrelevant compared to them in size, I guess with craigslist you are anonymous and dealing with the other side which is also anonymous, but here that would not be allowed. Both parties are required to have some form of verification.

There is a trust system which encourages users to get more verified and to participate more in the community, which further builds trust. I'd like to continue to add trust cues, such as integration with trustcloud and other services eventually.

tl;dr: trust is important on Rentything and not so much on craigslist.

Nicely done! Was this a full time effort ? Please do come back and share how it is doing.

Definitely a part time effort. Will let you guys know how it's doing for sure.

great share!

Absolutely crazy ! That was a harmless joke gone wrong. Sorry mate.

Sad sad story. Amazing viz that made an immediate impact on the story.

Very impressive what you built in such a small timeframe. Keep it up!

Looks nice! I like it!
