There certainly is...Zuck can censor whatever he wants but just because it's a private platform doesn't mean the gov can censor it, or pressure him to do so. You saw the "White House pressured Facebook" part...right?
i noticed the same exact thing. i thought weather had been solved with dark sky. then at some point something got messed up. i would love to know the full story behind this.
this...every time i use the damn apple weather app i am reminded how much i miss dark sky and my contempt is rekindled. makes me wonder how often this sort of tragedy happens.
And here's a little extra for those that are about to walk away thinking a meaningful record was set:

Did they edit the article or something? I don't think it sounds entitled at all. Sounds to me like the author is just innocently wondering if open sourcing it might help them compete and wants to see them succeed.
And there is a mention of "backing of Microsoft" being part of the advantage: "With the rapid pace of VSCode development with the backing of Microsoft, I don’t see any other way SublimeText can keep up unless they make the editor open-source."
Lol does that happen often? I can understand it with mace, but a taser?? What happens when a senior officer gets tased by some rookie? I imagine he would never hear the end of that.
