While I understand the frame of thinking, you'll have a difficult time convincing any advocating party that someone making $100K+ is 'exploited'. Multiple examples probably can be found across a number of industries

hilarious... and accurate.

This is such a great point! Experiencing this balancing act right now.

Page doesn't exist. Can't figure out if this is sarcasm or what

weightroom is, in my opinion, one of the best resources for strength athletes right now. just keep in mind that it has its own peculiar nature and rules; if you're a newcomer, keep your contribution to the daily thread until you learn the rules.

it's more in the style of askhistorians; so strictly moderated and low-effort comments are generally not tolerated except for the daily thread, which is fun.

reddit.com/r/weightroom - does exist and is good!

Woops, forgot the /r/, thanks!

Love it - good work. For me, this will serve as a nice shift from YT fitness content to more written content. I like the idea of creating community around it, whereas YT or IG is more transient.

I've had very similar experiences and find it really frustrating. People inherently don't like being wrong, don't like being proven to be gullible and are less likely to believe information that doesn't reaffirm their beliefs. It's a scary issue that's only likely to get worse.

This is a great point. I wonder what studies, if any, has been done on age/tech experience vs susceptibility to believing fake news.

Somewhat relevant topic into how many of these CEOs got to where they were: "New Study Reveals How Many CEOs Fast-Tracked Their Way To The Corner Office" https://goo.gl/Bz8fP5

Actual URL: https://www.forbes.com/sites/markhall/2018/03/01/new-study-r...

I think URL shorteners are frowned on here.

Not to mention, Forbes "articles" are frowned on.

It's a rewrite of https://hbr.org/2018/01/the-fastest-path-to-the-ceo-job-acco...

Same.

I always love when obscure (but interesting) topics surface to the top of HN. Great community.
