People are downvoting you for self promotion. But I will try it. I’m very interested in agentic assistants that are independent. Aider is my go-to tool but sometimes I just want to let a model rip through a code base.

Thanks, I tried to tone down the self promotion. To be completely honest, I was up all night coding so I'm not quite at 100% at the moment lol. I have massive respect for OpenAI and didn't mean to to try to distract from their launch. Sorry to anyone I annoyed!

I really appreciate your willingness to try Plandex and look forward to hearing your feedback! You can ping me in the Plandex Discord if you want—would love to get more HNers in the channel: https://discord.com/invite/plandex-ai

Or email me: dane@plandex.ai

I usually downvote this kind of post in other people's Show HN but in a product from OpenAI I'm glad other projects use the post to gain visibility.

> and didn't mean to to try to distract from their launch.

you should, that is the biggest reason I upvoted.

If aiders creator sees this, any plans on implementing agentic mode, or something more autonomous like claude cli works? Would love to have an independent tool doing that.

It'd be great if this (or similar) got merged: https://github.com/Aider-AI/aider/pull/3781

Is Zero based on prolly trees?

No. When we started the project we used prolly trees initially, but we don't need the content addressing feature for Zero and all the hashing was quite expensive. So now we just use a plain immutable b-tree:

Indeed. So conflict resolution that takes input from the user needs to be part of the protocol. Just like in Git.

or from the LLM. It can't be super complicated to describe a logic schema to do a merge like that. It's just a business logic vs universal logic.

Find a better unit to report your costs in. Like hours of work, or any other hard asset (real estate, gold, bitcoin etc.). Otherwise you are bound to be disappointed every year.

I would like to know your definition of a hard asset if you consider bitcoin one.

Indeed I haven't used that term correctly. What I meant, is some kind of asset that is not easily inflated, something that in the long term can retain its exchange value better. Of course, nothing is guaranteed, and especially with bitcoin, it super volatile. But you have a better chance of judging your purchase power based on that.

How many Big Macs?

or grande non-fat lattes?

Very good point. The local-sync ecosystem is still in a young phase, and conflict resolution hasn't been tackled or solved yet. Most systems have a |last write wins" approach.

All the expensive endpoints should be behind user registration. Only static pages, or other cheap endpoints should be public.

Still waiting for someone to implement and MCP to LSP bridge.

I hope there will be more adoption of EU stable coins like https://monerium.com, and a payments ecosystem will form around it. The rails are there, we need the apps and the integrations next.

I’ve tried probably most forms of Magnesium and they all upset my digestion, unless I take a small dose.
