Does Office.com supports Macro? Seems like it does, but wouldnt it be immune to these attack?

The web version doesn't support macros.

I have couple of friends who use Facebook Portal for their non-tech savvy grandparents. Seems like the lack of features (compared to other tablets) make it easier for them to use it. Another thing, it integrates with WhatsApp (a big plus for many!)

https://portal.facebook.com/

I use the portal and I like it a lot. I can see why older people would love it too. The UI is simple - large buttons to call each contact and once you're in the call, a red button to end the call. There is a hardware button to disable audio and camera, if necessary. Elderly users don't need to worry about charging because it's plugged in. They don't need to worry about focussing the camera to their face because it does it automatically.

Side note - camera quality is good. I've had multiple friends comment about how my video is much better than the other folks in the call.

"Additionally, if you’ve ever installed the Zoom client and then uninstalled it, you still have a localhost web server on your machine that will happily re-install the Zoom client for you, without requiring any user interaction on your behalf besides visiting a webpage. This re-install ‘feature’ continues to work to this day."

So... what's the best way to really really uninstall Zoom client from our Mac?

It's mentioned in the article. After uninstalling the main application, you also have to kill the helper app named ZoomOpener. The article gives some Terminal commands to do this, but you should be able to find it in Activity Monitor if your more comfortable there. Once you kill ZoomOpener, remove it from the list of Login Items in System Preferences -> Users & Groups. Lastly delete the folder called .zoomus from your home directory. You can do this in Finder, but it'll be hidden by default, so you'll have to use Go -> Go to Folder... or some other trick to expose it.

Now go explain that to the folks in Marketing.

The folks in Marketing have folks in IT to do this for them.

If you have tons of space, how about running a blockchain node? Something like FileCoin node is interesting because you can theoretically made some tokens when you’re doing it.

Young children behavior is interesting, I remember a friend whose 3 year old boy can’t read but fully capable of using his parents phone to watch Youtube. The boy constantly use Voice Recognition instead of keyboard input in such a fluid manner. After the search shows up, the boy simply pick the cartoon he liked.

Tap and swipe is first nature to him. What fascinates me is, this boy cant figure out how to turn on the tv because he keeps tapping amd swiping the remote control. I once saw him trying to swipe on the light switch as well.

Yeap, for me its all the nice iphone & macbook integration. Seamless copy paste, phone call notification, text message showing up...

Of course you can do all of these on Android, but I tried using Android + Surface Pro last year and the amount of things you need to install & tweak are just silly.

Very cool! Might want to add a section / link on what kind of images we should use to give the maximum wow factor

I am Indonesian. Its been 4 months since they announced the phone on December, and they are still not available anywhere. I am not sure whats the hold up but there is no other update

And this is just web. Don’t forget that we also have Apps. Some of the newer startups / media company don’t / choose not to have a web interface. We have archive for web, but not for apps. I looked at the screenshot of the first Uber & Amazon app, and it was amazing how different they look compared to today (2019)

How about Recaptcha?

My bad, what I really meant is: What are the suitable replacement for Recaptcha?

I'm thinking that generally it works but the other night during the nightly internet apocalypse I had to disable it all to use my own site.

Will have to double check...

yep, during the day you don't really notice cause VPNs work etc but once it gets to night, everything stops working
