Thanks for the pointer. This particular service is useful to know about, but a bit more mobile focused than is appropriate for our current product. Noted for future reference tho!

There's a comprehensive list of BaaS providers here -> http://www.kinvey.com/backend-as-a-service

That chart is quite entertaining. Too complex to be accurate but very informative.

It's not even close to being accurate. StackMob has multiple official partnerships with companies on that list that include full integrations, not just compatibility, but you only see one line of integration to Heroku. It would take 30 seconds worth of research to show how inaccurate that chart is.

No.

This assumes a pretty full-featured app. I'm curious on how the data was collected

Agree with the final takeaway -- "... know how your application behaves under different failure scenarios. Testing connectivity loss, loss of network services, and other failures are very important when building a high availability application."

ql.io looks powerful. How much time does it take to learn/build the integrations?

I agree. Apart from learning new tech, it also lets you think about ideas that are outside your day job!

Cool post, and nice to see code/visuals for different mobile/web platforms. Can I use the same mechanism to connect to other OAuth services?

Are they really at War?

No, they are at WAR!

no.

Interesting. Hugely useful to enable Flexibility and customization of business logic for Backend as a Service platforms. But how do I get my own business logic on the service?
