Here is a link to all the equivalent international times:

http://www.timeanddate.com/worldclock/fixedtime.html?msg=Air...

I feel event organizers should take care to provide international times for stuff people outside America can see.

Wolfram Alpha is great for this: http://www.wolframalpha.com/input/?i=september%2026%207pm%20....

There are a lot of services that pop up once in a while, but they tend to go bust at some point, and being able to just type a WA query in your address bar is great.

That link says the local time is "4 AM" .. am? What is AM? :)

Timeanddate gets it right..

Just out of curiosity, why do you think checked exceptions are bad?

I found this blog post on underwater nuclear weapon test effects:

That sounds really cool!

Sorry but could you please send me the link to the extension? Or if its an inbuilt thing a page of instructions? I Googled it and I got back your post as the first result.....

Hi, thanks for the feedback. I haven't fully completed it yet, I wanted to actually find out if people would use something like this before I wrote any more code. I could send you an email when it's complete.

By the way, which browser do you use?

I use chrome

That would be amazing!

I got an invite for Work at a Startup at the start of the year, but couldn't go because I live in Australia. To avoid the plane ticket I looked at other ways of getting there, like via cargo plane or cargo ship. It turns out the first one is illegal an the second one is more expensive and takes longer :D

Sorry if I'm derailing the conversation, but is Google trying to capture the market share with the Android or is it trying to make a profit?

What is Google's goal with the Android? Ads? An extension to search?

Again, sorry if I've derailed the discussion. I'm just curious to see what HN thinks.

I think they are trying to commoditize the market so that Apple is not dominant. But Apple have not really joined in, and have managed to keep a large and profitable portion of the market, indeed grown that since Android launched. So so far Android has largely failed on that basis.

I'm an undergrad studying CS and Electrical & Electronic Eng. I'm keen to improve myself.

Just out of curiosity, how would you identify a 'good' programmer? What makes a programmer 'good'?

Cheers for your answers in advance.

If you've ever worked with classmates on a program, you probably already have a sense of what it means to be a good programmer. As you become more advanced and experienced, the differences between good programmers and bad programmers will change some... but not a lot.

I'm not in America. Does anyone know where I can see this live online?
