(I'm saying that both sides dropping nukes on each other would be a good thing. I'm adding credibility to that statement by saying I have skin in the game. I'm expecting downvotes because my post is anti-pacifist.)
Let me put it this way. US has a strong enough military that it could do so if it really wanted, but it would involve a lot of casualties. I doubt that the American public would be willing to sustain the amount it would require.
So, you would rather keep mistreating them, because if we stopped mistreating them today it would mean they'd be slaughtered tomorrow? I'm quite sure what the cows would choose.
I recently started a ML project using text data and the choice was between MySQL and Postgres. Having looked at the respective features and pros and cons, the choice was immediately obvious. Also, with pgvector and https://postgresml.com available, the choice for Postgres was even easier.
I preordered it and read it with the expectation of getting great sci-fi about kraken and got something else entirely. The focus is on many things, but not on sci-fi and kraken, so it is one of the weaker books in this area, sadly. I finished it, but it was a slog.
At this point I would refuse to travel to the USA at all, not only for vacation, but also for work. Imagine being locked up for weeks or months because you need to visit the us-based office.
