In terms of internet culture, newgrounds deserves a mention! Technically still up, but not the same, as with most things.

I too have a certain fear or flying, even though I fly quite often. One thing that has actually helped me (and from the comment field, helped a lot of other people too) is this channel: https://www.youtube.com/@MentourPilot

Not only is it great content, but the way Peter breaks down accidents and goes through all the safety barriers modern airplanes actually have, it has over time lowered my fear of flying.

Why? Ryanair has perhaps not the best seats and service offering in general, but they have never had a accident and is considered a very safe airline.

I've never had an issue with the suit, the lack of headshots on the other hand....

Hmm, wonder how many billions European/NATO-countries/Australia have spent of their own money in an effort to help the US on its somewhat 20 year long misguided war on terror...

That being said, I understand the american feelings about this, as a lot of stuff have had the wrong priorities in the US for a long time, which I would argue is an internal matter and nothing to do with NATO (or its members).

The U.S. hasn’t criticized British defense spending as far as I know. Yes other countries have spent money on our misadventures. They do so, as one Australian put it to me, because if someone is going to be a hyper power you could do a lot worse than have it be the U.S. In exchange for our protection other countries do support us.

I support a more isolationist U.S. policy. It’s time for America to engage in an imperial retreat.

This reminds me of this hysterically funny customer service call to Verizon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MShv_74FNWU

12 minutes in... what a journey

I think it's because of the cows! In India, the cows roam around freely, and if you have ever been on the road with a cow in front of you, it does not give a shit and will basically just stand there, eventually move when it feels like it. The obvious action to alert something/someone hindering you is to use the horn, "you are in my way", but that does not work for cows that well.

Over time, this weird culture developed of honking. Often honking in reply to each other, like a rhythm almost.
