thanks for the feedback. Yeah I agree. However, imagine the AI becomes advanced enough to do it properly, would you still talk to it as a customer? My immediate thought is that I wouldn't because I know it's a bot. But on a second thought, the line would perhaps blur if the conversation is realistic enough.

Well, if I can't tell, then I can be tricked. But if I'm fooled into thinking a computer is a human and I discover that trick later, I will be angry with and avoid the entity that tricked me.

It's indeed wrong to try to trick people. But the real question is that if you already know that it's a robot, are you still be willing to talk to it? What if the robot sounds like this: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/linton-ye/episodes/C...

> if you already know that it's a robot, are you still be willing to talk to it?

In the absence of some sort of really compelling reason to, no I wouldn't. It would signal to me that the company doesn't actually value me enough to treat me as a person. Also, I'm not interested in having a "conversation" with a machine, but that's more of a personal preference sort of deal.

I hope you like the name of this challenge. :)

In all seriousness, I want to do my little part to help people feel better in the difficult times right now. That'll help me feel better too.

I'm thrilled to launch React+Framer Challenge V2! It's a one-month workshop starting next Monday August 12th. The registration is open right now until the end of 11th.

If you missed Challenge V1, this is a great opportunity to catch up. By definition V2 is better than V1 -- more polished videos, better pace, better structure, a great timeframe that motivates you to learn more, and cool prizes. And you still have the chance to learn for free!

Here's what Kevin, a V1 challenger, has to say:

"I’ve seriously learned 10x more in the last 4 weeks than in the last 8 months trying to learn Framer on my own. " - Kevin Cannon, Product Designer at Pitch

Also, you probably want to check out some prototypes built by V1 challengers: https://learnreact.design/prototyping-with-react-framer/show...

yup, What's worse than releasing a product on twitter and found it down a few minutes later...

Quick un-release it and rerelease after it's up!

Right now, probably working at twitter

React Native has been updated to MIT too: https://github.com/facebook/react-native/blob/master/LICENSE

A habit of checking HN every 20 minutes. :)

I wonder if there's a way to provide custom content? Is there an API or something?

You can make your own decks and cards, and import decks from Quizlet or csv.

I'm currently working on an accompanying web app that will allow importing of lists from more services and allow for faster bulk content creation.

When importing from csv, can you import to a deck multiple times and have it just update? Or do you have to create a new deck each time?

Also, can decks be shared?

Love the design and it's a welcome change of pace coming from other SRS apps.

Thank you!

Right now, the import is pretty rudimentary. It just parses and creates a new deck.

I've been working on - and now will redouble my efforts based on the feedback here - a web app that will make creation and import much easier and flexible.

looks great! Love the simplicity of the landing page too. Though I'm a little unsure why you have the reddit page in your video? Did you mean that with your tool, you'd save lots of time (to waste?). I personally find it distracting and misleading.

Thanks! Haha, the Reddit bit was just to put in a gag that I feel like a lot of programmers will recognize, nothing more.

Nice! Thx for sharing.
