Make sure you have Firefox 138! From the release notes: > You can also now reposition a tab group on the tab bar by dragging it.

I upgraded mine to FF 138. After the update it even opened the tab groups blog post. 15 minutes of going through settings later, no, my browser has no tab groups feature at all. Of course then I see it's a progressive rollout. Sad.

There is an about:config setting you can turn on. I don’t have it hear but it has been widely posted so take a look. I think if you search about:config for “tab” it might show up.

Removing security headers like Content-Security-Policy is forbidden by the addons.mozilla.org policy.

I don't think this is being enforced in practice, thankfully.

It is. It happened to us a few weeks ago.

That's crazy. Did it happen to a public extension or an unlisted one?

Public, with about half a million installations.

I think it was noticed only because this version had a major bug that broke a bunch of websites.

While this is definitely annoying, most of the time this can be worked around by the extension without workarounds that themself weaken security.

For example I helped uBlock Origin out in 2022 when they ran into this: https://github.com/uBlockOrigin/uBlock-issues/issues/235#iss...

And it's worth noting that since your comment later in that thread about sandbox being an issue, that's been fixed too as of Firefox 128: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1411641

Thanks for this! I'll look into implementing it soon.

If it's disabled (greyed-out), then you already have telemetry disabled.

Firefox also has the about:config preference permissions.default.image: 2, which will block most images.

The profile actually shows the freeze is not caused by normal JS garbage collection, but by cycle collection. So probably something related to DOM nodes.

Also one of the headings was mistranslated horribly.

In linked the article: "AVM threatens to ban the sale of Fritzbox routers". The original in German: "AVM droht Verkaufsverbot für Fritzbox-Router". Right translation is roughly: "AVM is threatened with a ban on the sale of Fritzbox routers".

I think the linked article title sounds more natural in English

Edit: Ahhh wait AVM is being threatened with a ban, my mistake

Dario’s descriptions of the working conditions are pretty brutal in this series. Relentless 12-16 hour days, arguments in emails, demotivating management. I grew up with a fairytale idea of what working at Valve must have been like - a brilliant environment of smart people doing their best work. Although I’m still sure that’s true, I don’t think I’d be willing to make the sacrifices these developers did for the sake of a video game. Astonishing

Each video tends to start with a couple of minutes dedicated to story telling. One of the videos I found most interesting was the last one about multiplayer maps because Dario had a lot to say about designing the maps.

Igalia is regularly contracted to work on new Firefox features, so this is already happening.
