I was really impressed when I took a trip to England and it recognized european birds. At one point it said there was a Rose-ringed Parakeet which seemed totally wrong, but then we saw a bunch of them in Hyde park a couple days later.

The iOS app did seem to lock up when trying to download the region packs though. I should find out where to file a bug!

I tried adding a 2nd region when I was in Europe and it locked up. I had to reinstall the app to get it back to a usable state. Adding region packs is totally broken on iOS.

If rents for commercial spaces don't reduce I welcome more of these fire sales. Portland is still great, but the future of small businesses and the tech scene is abysmal.

Not a thing works

I went to school in Minnesota and we had to go to a certain music store and ask a specific employee for the book. I believe it was $50. It was basically required to play jazz.

I remember when my brother (a teenager at the time) bought his book he had to give his music teachers name and the employee called for a reference.

Wow, contributed to today!

Yep, just with less Austin Texas.

Well they have promised to open it up to more cars but have not yet, so I guess, in theory, they have, but not in practice.

Yeah, I'm painstakingly reading out a novel I wrote and recording is hard. We had to scrap last nights recording because there was a hum at the place we are recording and even turning off all breakers we couldn't figure out where it was. Turns out it was a bathroom fan that was hooked to a different breaker in the house.

I'll be writing some music for the intros of chapters and some special sections for suspense.

Hums are the worst. And the quieter your space, the more hums you seem to hear. Good luck!

There's a few good folks on youtube that discuss some of the more nitty gritty details, if you're interested.

When Intel moved all of their small contract jobs from small businesses in Portland and Seattle and gave them all to InfoSys that was the beginning of the end.

They spoiled their ecosystem by themselves.

Also they have so many tax exemptions in Oregon that are hurting the state and its schools. They are still a major employer with 20K people but 15-20% of them will be fired in the coming month.
