I've done a bunch of little freelance stuff. Money is always great, and I'd follow the advice already given if that's what you're looking for.
On the other hand, it might be worth considering a trade for labor for whatever it is they sell. When I go this route, I usually end up getting way more in trade than I would have in cash. But again, this is only if they're selling something that you may want.
When I can't stomach puff pieces on NPR, I usually blame it in my extreme liberal bias, but still take in the information. I still haven't yet heard ANY in-depth stories taking Trump or Cruise to task for their many false statements. At the same time, I've heard quite a few stories on how Sander's policies aren't viable, or the number of ways Secretary Clinton may have broken the law by demanding a Blackberry phone.
An old co-worker of mine jumped ship in the way I wished I had. He had something like 16 or 17 days vacation, and he took every Friday off from September till the end of the year. He used those Fridays to look for new jobs and interviews.
I'm in. I'm currently teaching an undergraduate course in collaboration software, and I'd be interested to hear what others are doing, or what ideas they have.
