Congrats on the launch! I love ideas like this, but curious how this is different than https://bearblog.dev which has been around for a while?

Thank you! bearblog was a huge inspiration for me. They have many similarities but the main differences are a block-based editor and a feed that shows the most recent posts of the blogs that you're following. I'm also trying to make paperboat.website accessible for people who usually don't use Markdown.

I can't believe they talked to Elon for almost 3 hours and didn't ask about the GPU heat exchange issue with data centers in space.

Yeah that's such an oversight that it's suspicious...

What was the "additional effort" you've had to do before?

All sorts. Some make the application process very long, some ask for what is essentially a long cover letter through written questions, some ask you to complete tests, one sent me an IQ test...

Filling out an application form by hand.

Happy 50th birthday!

Yeah, I think it would be great if this project made it clear how this compares with Crystal in terms of the syntax.

In terms of syntax, they are incompatible. At the very least, crystal require more whitespace than what the examples show.

Still doing https://hackernewsletter.com/ after 15 years thanks to many of you.

Thanks so much for this project. I have a busy work week and life outside of work, so to be able to get a digest of all the past weeks happenings on a Friday is perfect. It's part of my normal wind down for the weekend routine :).

Thank you for running this! I've been reading it every week for many years since I subscribed :)

If I may ask, what were some of the strategies that drove most of your subscriber growth?

Thanks for doing this. This is the only newsletter I want to read every week.

I'm reading this because of the newsletter! HN is a time sink so the newsletter lifts only items worthy of attention to my email. Been a sub for many years. Thank you!

Are you making money just from sponsors or something else too?

Yeah, just sponsors. I hope to use it as an outlet for other projects in the near future.

I subscribed last december after knowing about it in last year's version of this thread. It is great and gives a very good summary of the HN week, I love it!

That is great to hear, thanks for being a subscriber!

How are you making money on this side project?

freshly subscribed - had a peek in the archives, noticed a link to curpress.com that appears to be offline.

Most humans would be hard pressed to get a gold medal in this one.

Exactly, this is one where it might actually be quicker to wait for the robots.

The one piece of good news is the highest point in Florida is just 345 feet above sea level so I think they'll be okay. :)

That was from my newsletter: https://hackernewsletter.com/. :)

Here was the issue: https://mailchi.mp/hackernewsletter/672

Wow - thank you!. I'm really grateful for this.
