Fighting against the plight that is the unbridled gambling put in front of large swathes of people with no grasp on math is treated as innocence. It will cost us so much as a society, so, so much more that the small short term profits it brings. For shame.

My bank account balance begs to differ..

Your bank account begs to differ that reading blogs and watching videos isn't work? In what way might I ask?

I spent some time discussing this with my buddy, who ate an RPG round in close proximity, while serving in Iraq. He gradually lost his vision, all of it. It's so depressing to even think back on the chats, as I cannot imagine living w/o the internet I grew up on. Does anyone want to pair up and work on software that treats disabled users with respect? And who know, maybe make something a deaf or blind or N player can experience? I lived a lot of live w/ 100% brain capacity, not really making use of it, and then it was taken from me in an IED blast (Afghanistan). What I lack in skills, I guarantee you I will make up with experience. A frustrated Infantryman turned UX/UI/Product afficionado (and $90k startup employee)

This looks like a device one would buy to be able to visit SF w/o seeing the homeless.

The killer app will be how it can blur out things you don't want to see in reality while walking around. Blinkers for humans.

If it can make London sunny all year round, I'm in.

Nice branding. Any relations to Elegant Themes/Divi?

Hey thank you for the kind words!

Nope, no relation at all :)

Taylor Otwell’s coding style has been very influential on me, and I’ve used a number of his concepts to get this project rolling in just a few months.

His code is “expressive, elegant syntax.”

I think we need to treat apprenticeships better. We need a stronger blue collar sector. At the same time, I'm worried about this trend towards anti-intellectualism I'm sensing these days.. It smells fascist, and that is bad.

I am not anti intellectual but I am anti college. It is a racket. Costs have exploded while at the same time transmitting information is as cheap as it is have ever been. It is about the signal you give from your degree rather than the education you get.

I used to go kayaking with my buddy in Monterey. He lost his eyesight due to war wounds, mine stayed-we bonded over that. He taught me something similar so we could go kayak in the sea together, all I had to do was make a noise every so often (~20-30secs) and he would be able to navigate that way, free. Good times.

Can 2nd this one, I tried Mint and Slackware this year, just because of the Win11 app checker thing kept popping and reminding me that i don't want another few years worth of BS like that.

Sure, and memes are just cats.
