shouldn't the whole idea be: get away from needing data at all? if a model can really reason, it should be able to figure things out on its own.

An LLM is just a really good parser connected to a lossy compressed corpus of data.

They need to be open ended and self training to be truly useful.

Reasoning is way far away...

plays to the normal tendency of humans not to want to interact with other humans.

So far. :)

If you understand the first thing about LLMs you'll know it'll never be less stupid, just better at hiding its stupidity.

were you using a single account? or is there an setting now to define a family?

exactly. Hope we can customize the voice soon. I want to talk to ultron... or the one from mass effect

The goal is to end up with a model capable of discovering all the knowledge on its own. not rely on what humans produced before. Human knowledge contains errors, I want the model to point out those errors and fix them. the current state is a crutch at best to get over the current low capability of the models.

came here to post exactly that ;)

contrary to most of the comments here, I actively enjoy going to the movies. Have always, and still do. To some of the points raised, I live in a decidedly rural area. So consequently, grabbing a movie at 10pm fairly frequently leads to me having the imax all to myself. Another contributing factory might be that I tend to go during week nights, and after the opening weekend. It's true that the home experience has improved tremendously over the years (I've had a projector+retractable ceiling screen for over a decade), it doesn't come close to an imax sized screen.

maybe a long tail consequence of further shifting traffic?

this doesn't bode well: https://docs.plane.so/self-hosting -> 404
