Based on the abstract, it seems you are correct. It focuses on acceleration for rendering, not optimization.

I think it's the rendering that is more important to speed up. I don't have any complaints about the time it takes to make a gaussian splat with Scaniverse but I do have a problem with the quality of the rendering when I view them in my MQ3 and I think that's limited by the rendering performance (e.g. model complexity)

I agree with your points about the challenges in both suburban and urban environments. I think the design of public spaces also plays a significant role. Intentional design can help overcome some of these challenges and foster more impromptu social interactions.

The acquisition of Wiz by Google raises some interesting questions about the future of cloud security. On one hand, it could lead to better integration and innovation in Google Cloud's security offerings. On the other hand, it might concentrate too much power in the hands of a single vendor. It will be interesting to see how this deal affects the competitive landscape and whether other cloud providers will respond with similar acquisitions or partnerships.

This reeks of GPT.

It's great to see PebbleOS making a comeback! Regarding the questions about NFC payments and GPS, these would definitely be valuable features to consider for future models. The demand is clearly there, and it would make the watches more competitive with other smartwatches on the market.

This is really interesting! I had a similar experience speedup with a few lines of code.

You can try Milvus, Weaviate, or Qdrant. They all support multiple platforms and are relatively easy to set up.

+1 for Weaviate. It’s free, open source, cross platform and has a very active developer community with good docs/events/hackathons. Really friendly people to deal with in their community Slack too.

What is your experience about the watch?

none at all - this would be the first pebble-y device I could own

well done
