Things have moved very quickly since this was true. For comparison, [1] Visa claims at it's maximum to achieve 24,000 transactions per second (tps), and Mastercard 5000. The work on the Bitcoin Lightning Network is moving ahead to help achieve [2] "approximately 1 million transactions per second."

Another crypto currency in use today is Solana. That runs at around 50,000 tps, beating the higher end of today's credit processing networks.

Yeah though credit card processors don't have dusting attacks and smart contracts to deal with, so it probably balances out.

This is awesome! I have been thinking about building something like this for a long time. Good thing I don't need to.

The simple goal and counting the days is something I've been doing for years, but on paper and calendars. This is so much simpler, it feels more right. I really like the KISS approach and look here.

One UX factor to point out: I lost my data after signing up for the first time. That sucked.

Otherwise... Thank you, please keep building this, and if you're looking for feedback, I'm here to give it.

I'd love to hear more about how you operate. Do you write?

I have a BOOX Max Lumi, it has all those features, for free. Plus is a fully functioning android tablet.

I miss a tiny thing: seeing when each comment was created.

Good catch, this will be added in the next update.

I believe there is 1 single use of the word bourgeois in this whole graphic article. It is used to define "of or characteristic of the middle class, typically with reference to its perceived materialistic values or conventional attitudes." Which is a neat and succinct way of representing the "order and rationality" of the referenced people spoken of in this piece.

Nothing egregious here.
