Another happy customer here. I like their responsiveness over email. I also got a big discount after a year or so and also got a very good offer when I signed up for their service (I'm using their ZFS VM for sending ZFS snapshots).
It is always worth to write an email to info@rsync.net to work out an acceptable offer. I did it and got a relatively good offer. I have now 2 TB at rsync.net.
rsync.net is not cheap but you have to know what you get: ZFS with great redundancy and a great support. All you have to do is using the service. You don't have to worry about maintenance.
Speaking of ZFS, I use B2 with zfsbackup-go. Sanoid is making snapshots and zfsbackup-go is uploading them.

Yep, true. I use a used dedicated server for backup with FreeBSD w/ ZFS and 2 3 TB disks in mirrored ZFS. I pay 36 EUR/m for this setup. I think you must be lucky to get a similar setup for the same price from online.net.
I had a similar memory problems with my 2011 iMac. It had only 4 GB of RAM. The machine started pretty fast to filling up my swap. After it started paging out the machine was unusable for some minutes. I don't know if this is true but I think the HDDs in the 2011 iMac are not that good.
I upgraded the memory to 12 GB. Since then working on my iMac is a lot easier.
But the troubles are still there (from time to time). A few days ago I ran Virtualbox and Parallels Desktop 7. I had a 5 GB big swap, the machine started paging out and it slowed down. I had to quit some apps to solve the problem.
So I have to agree with the author of the article that Lion has a weak memory management. Apple must fix this. Running a 12 GB of RAM machine and getting a sluggish machine?
I think that if I would install an SSD my iMac would be a lot faster. Also the paging out.
I agree. Bitcasa will be a big player. One of the advantage Bitcasa has over Dropbox right now is that it can show the versions of your file right from the app. You don't have to go to the web. And we even didn't speak about pricing.
I didn't try Bitcasa yet since I got today an invitation.
Only it is hard to find this offer: https://www.rsync.net/products/zfsintro.html.
