I second this. I run an A1 on a separate IoT wifi network that doesn't have outbound connectivity and using nftables rules for forwarding can send prints from my normal network with minimal fuss.
I did have to play around and use orcaslicer to get the printer set up using the network printing and camera feed working.
The one issue I do have is that it seems I would need to connect the printer to a internet enabled Network to get firmware updates, because the firmware version I have is ironically the one before they enabled SD card updating lol.
Back to the original question, I've had this printer for about a month and have been printing virtually non-stop with very minimal complaints. Coming from an ender 3 it is absolutely night and day in terms of ease of setup and general usage.
Good to find the bug regardless! I appreciated the succinct and not overly dramatic write-up. I don't think anything significant was claimed other than the fact that it is a kernel bug (which is significant in itself don't get me wrong).
The answer to your question is just part of the whole sad story...
Promotion committees (hopefully!) know which journals or publications are low quality. If they are unfamiliar, they generally don't have time (or inclination) to verify the paper(s) or publication itself. Especially true when it's a slightly different sub-field than their own. So it often comes down to a simple count of pubs. That's usually all the credit they need!
If I were your assistant managing your schedule and you come to me and say "I have a sales meeting next Tuesday." Of course I'd schedule the sales meeting, but I might also schedule time for you to 1) Research the client, 2) Drop off dry-cleaning to look sharp for the meeting, 3) A time to pick up that dry-cleaning.
That's what a "scheduling assistant" does. :)
AI is good at reasoning what other events should be scheduled along w/ an event.
