I'm willing to believe that someone used the gambit to win against an engine, but in response I would've expected the engines to be modified to restore their absolute dominance against human players.
So, I would be very interested to see any evidence that this gambit continued to work against the version of the engine released after the gambit's effectiveness became widely known.
Surprising that this fact is being often overlooked in this thread. If you're in a multi-day golf tournament for example, an ice bath for immediate recovery and lack of hypertrophy is exactly what you want.
I think it hinders recovery too though, inflammation has a function, which is why we don't just systematically administer high dose anti-inflammatories for every infection, only when it's too risky to leave the natural process handle it, or when the inflammatory response is pathological (e.g. COVID cytokine storm).
They do sometimes - like when they're trying to gain strength. At other times, recovery is more important than growing stronger (like during a tournament).

His libertarian's model for addressing effective capitalism (with the goal of central planning for a secessionary, yet still vassal, state) relies on old and obsolete conceptual tools, namely history itself. All geopolitical problems is a scam with at the top of that pyramid scheme suit wearing bureaucrats who are the characters from the 1984 dystopia, with no differences between them. You're kinda blind to your oppression and the totalitarian regime you're running under.
