Is this better than using Alfred?

I don't know about ALfred, haven't used before. The post is just about a trick to boost spotlight speed.

Things that have really helped me:

1. A more ergonomic setup to help with my RSI - an ergodox ez keyboard, with a tilting keyboard tray attached to my standing desk and adjustable monitor arms makes it very easy to adjust things and make it comfortable for me

2. Having some greenery around me in terms of plants helps.

3. I prefer having a cup to drink water from (instead of drinking from a bottle directly)

4. I spray-painted my keyboard and changed the keycaps - made it a little more joyful for me. Might do it again after a while to bring some variety.

I would also recommend looking into no-code tools for your mvp and problem validation.

Can you elaborate on "reduces context-switching"? I am working on something around that, but it can mean different things based on context.

Does vim mode in IDEs cover your use case?

I am working on a tool I'm calling Makerflow[1] that covers your github PRs and upcoming meetings use cases. My big picture aim is to work towards a system that makes it easier for devs to do do deep work, collaborate effectively, and manage their cognitive load.

I appreciate the heads up.

I've checked out the landing page. I didn't see any docs for the various tools. Is that something forthcoming?

Yes, docs on the website are upcoming. Meanwhile I have some documentation on github for the cli [1] and vscode plugin [2]

Love it. Do you have any suggestions on which video tool to use?

Any video tool that can export .mp4, resolution 640x480 (or square video better). But no problem, when you submit I'll take a look at the file, and check it for you!

I don't think PH has the same credibility it did a couple of years ago.

Do you mean to say they had high credibility a couple years ago?

Can you provide some details about the target market? B2B or B2C?

It's B2B2C - a modern payment platform for landlords and tenants.

The product can be used to: - create installment plans for missed rent - make security deposit payments over time - pay rent on a flexible schedule

Gotcha. Most subreddits are averse to self-promotion, so you run the risk of a negative response from redditors. I can't speak to Facebook groups since I don't use them much.

It might be difficult to target ads to landlords on these platforms. I am not sure what targeting attributes might be available.

Maybe you could cold email/call property management companies and you might find specific people to email on LinkedIn. They manage larger number of properties and so this might be a bigger pain for them? Cold emailing and selling also makes it possible to get continuous and early feedback from engaged customers. It might not scale, but that's fine [1]

Thanks for the thoughts. I think we'll be choosing a plan of actions tomorrow.

I came upon Paul's post a few years back but it's always great to revisit :)

I would love to learn what you folks decided on.

Looks awesome! Is there anyway to tag notes and view them by tags?

Yes, GitJournal can tag notes, and it stores them as part of the metadata header at the top of markdown notes.

Tagging is one of the paywalled features in the mobile apps. It's such a core feature that paywalling it seems a bit mean, but OTOH it's a great project, and this is the feature that converted me to a paying customer. It was £32 (~$42 USD) - not cheap, but this permanently unlocks current paywalled features, and any added over the next year. Pricing is hard, but I do wonder if the high pricing will ultimately be detrimental.
