All true. But still a work of genius getting those gyro stabilisers into a consumer device.

This sounds like the pitch I got from a friend who drank the Theranos kool-aid.

Theranos contained the seed of a good idea. That it was a toxic cult run by psychopaths is unfortunate.

I interviewed at ring before they were absorbed by Amazon. The hiring manager tried to close the deal with an inspiring story about using ring cameras to scare "gang bangers" who got too close to his girlfriend. I walked out. I'm white, but I remember Emmett Till.

Young, handsome, hungry.

Grippy, superstantial, eneagled

Corrupt, criminal.

When a friend was doxxed, I helped him get the problematic material excluded from current Internet Archive results. It was easier than I had anticipated. The volunteers who helped me were intelligent and humane. Keep in mind that at its core Internet Archive is a library that preserves and shares information. My friend was happy to have his personal information temporarily suppressed, but didn't try to change the permanent record. History will be history. He loves and cherishes libraries and has no objection to future researchers seeing his personal information 50 years from now. It's a great institution that we should protect and cherish.

Positronic brains!

Yes yes yes. Work does not love you back. Scale your love. Allocate it in appropriate increments. Sell your attention _dearly_. And remember you have a life outside of work.

My neighbor gets regular deliveries of live roaches, which he feeds to pet lizards. They come by US mail from a roach farm in Arkansas. Some farmer must be laughing his way to the bank every time he ships roaches to Los Angeles.

This was the first compiler I paid for as a grad student circa 1986. It was wonderfully useful, well documented. Tech support always responded to my letters and emails. And they sent me updates for years. I loved Aztec C.

If they'll sell our QuickBooks data they'll sell our TurboTax data too.

Or give it away for free via data breech.

The government would never allow it.
