20Mb speeds are on the low end, and has no future upgrade path (speedwise). My cable modem allows up to 200-300 Mb service, and DOCSIS is improving with every new version.

This is a great resource. Thanks for sharing it!

I have a suggestion which would make it very useful for me: hints on when to plant. Since you have the timing for "peak season" and (I assume) the growing times to get there, hopefully it would be easy to work backwards to arrive at planting times.

As a new gardener in Southern California, I could use some help planning my planting schedule. I can get away with planting a lot of things whenever I feel like it, but sticking with the ideal times would help optimize my yields.

As someone who frequents farmer's markets often, my suggestion would to visit one close to you. I often ask the local farmers for planting advice especially since it seems our temperatures are getting wackier each season.

That's an excellent point! There are several near me so I'll ask next time I go to the market.

I had a heart attack a couple years ago. The initial bill was $225k. Thankfully, I have good insurance (thanks $job!) so my portion ended up being only ~$2000. The numbers get insane very, very quickly. In my case, I was only in the hospital 3 nights so those numbers could easily have been even bigger.

My Galaxy S8 is running kernel 4.4.16

Based on the types of common injuries for the line workers, this is a good thing for their health in the long run. From the article, repetitive stress injuries are the norm, not the exception.

Two Christmases ago I had a 100% blockage of the LAD for about 45 minutes - the time it took to get me from my house to the cardiac unit. It's called the Widow Maker for a reason. I was extremely lucky in that the pain was acute enough we called 911 immediately, and both the firehouse and hospital were very close by. I was 41 and in excellent health. No drinking, smoking, drugs, etc.

If you're feeling chest pain, please don't mess around. Get checked immediately. Better to feel silly than miss a heart attack and die!

I have a VW eGolf and a Toyota Sienna for exactly the same reasons (plus the wife really, really wanted a minivan).

The people switcher is a godsend for web dev work. I have one for my normal work window (email, ticketing, etc), and two for various types of test accounts. It's SO useful to not have to constantly log in and out. Thank you!

I remember lusting after the twin turbo Supra back in my teens. "Porsche performance at a Toyota price" is the quote from a car magazine I remember (Car & Driver maybe?) Never actually drove one, but maybe I'll include them on the list for my next car.

Non-molested versions still sell for close to or even over(!) original retail price.

The 2JZ-GTE is a marvel of an engine. It's got a turbocharged turbocharger! How cool is that!?

Don't forget about HBO Now, which you can watch on your computer or a Roku (at the least).
