I'm not epileptic or anything, but the background graphic was making me nauseous, not figuratively nauseous, but actually, physically nauseous. I couldn't make it past the nausea!

(I've never had a response like this before! Out of curiosity, I opened it up again after writing the first paragraph, and yep - waves of nausea with some not so subtle vertigo thrown in the mix!)

>need public exposure for the full consequences of their beliefs to be realized

Yeah, Trump is certainly realizing the full consequence of his beliefs.

I'm not proposing the only form of consequences is monetary.

Trump is overwhelmingly perceived as a con artist who cons only the most magnificently bored and/or stupid people of the earth. And not always a successful one either or he wouldn't have had to declare bankruptcy, he could have just conned another handful of investors. Clearly some of his messes were too obvious for even the dumbest rich people of the earth to fall for.

And note that this thing hasn't really played itself out fully yet, so we'll just have to see. For all we know, he may be declaring bankruptcy again to get out of candidacy debt.

My point is just that there are a lot of people who reward known racists - so putting a label such as "I'm an anti-gay bigot" would reinforce people who think this is appropriate, which can result in even scarier things - things like having a person who is "overwhelmingly perceived as a con artist" being nominated as the Republican party's presidential nominee.

Or maybe you just don't understand what he believes.

Would love to hear more!

The math is simple, the Cuban average salary is around $20/month, current public internet rate is $2/hour. So, at least you receive an extra money, either from a family remittance, personal business or in my case from working as a freelance (BTW using Internet), you can't pay for much access time.

On Firefox 45.0.1

There is an option to try a polyfil version, which seems to be working.

FF will support Shadow DOM in the future. Also it's only used for the documentation.

Same on mobile Safari.

Producers are not necessarily consumers.

One of the most narcissistic people I know writes quite prolifically, but can't be bothered to read more than a paragraph or so of somebody else's writing.

> completely prohibitive for eg. raising a family

But if it's an unconditional guaranteed income, i.e. each member of the family is making it, then it shouldn't be a problem. For example, a single mother with two kids would get her 500 EUR/month plus 500 EUR/month for each kid, bringing in a total of 1500/month for the family. While this certainly isn't massive, with a part-time job and being frugal, it should enable her to pay the bills.

How would 1,500 euros enable her to pay the bills, if rent alone is 1,000? It wouldn't be even remotely close after all life expenses are added in.

Also, you don't have to live in the most expensive part of the most expensive city... Good livable apartments can be had for 300e-400e/month, even in the larger cities.

Thats why he said part-time job too.

Yes, the "with a part-time job and being frugal" was a critical part of my post that @adventured clearly missed. Thank you for highlighting it.

In fact, I have yet to find an actual Amazon[1] on amazon.com, although I have found books about them [2].

I'm not sure how this actually helps keep your anonymity. I would suggest setting up a temporary email address (there are many services for this purpose - https://duckduckgo.com/?q=temporary+email)
