I think email alias is a better choice for privacy. Take a look at SimpleLogin.

How it's different than SimpleLogin or 33mail?

I haven't seen those before but scanning over the home pages of both it seems like we all offer very similar services. SimpleLogin seems legit and looks like they offer a ton of cool features. It seems like something that I would aspire this project to become

For email alias, I'd recommend to use a true email alias solution like 33mail or SimpleLogin as the plus (+) hack doesn't protect the privacy.

SimpleLogin [1] already does that and their aliases are more powerful. It's also open-source [2], can be self-hosted, and covers almost all platforms.

The Firefox relay seems to need SocketLabs [3], a paying and closed-source service. Haven't got my invite code yet but I would not bet on this Firefox service.

Nice to see services like these. I've been using AnonAddy [1] myself for a few months now.

It’s better to not use the same email address everywhere. I use SimpleLogin to create email alias and it works great so far.

I just don't give my e-mail address to anyone. Anyone. Doctors, vets, especially retail stores.

I just tell them that I don't have one. On the very rate occasions anyone has balked I tell them I just moved and haven't set up my internet yet.
