If anybody's interested in any of the algorithms and papers that underpin most modern cryptography, we created a dedicated page on our site[0] as an homage to the great cryptographers of the last century(!) (and their works).
We're excited to launch our AI Privacy use case today, making it easy for developers to easily redact PII in unstructured data (like prompts) using a simple proxy.
This means you can collect data from your users and have it redacted at the edge before it touches your infrastructure, or redact it before sending it to third-party LLM providers like OpenAI — solving a lot of the compliance and privacy pains facing developers today.
I wrote more about our proxy approach on the Evervault Blog[1].
Shameless plug, but we have a product at Evervault[0] called Outbound Relay[1] that’s basically a hosted, managed version of this flow. Secrets can be encrypted anywhere you collect them (either from third-party APIs or directly from the user in their browser) and then used any time you send a request to a downstream API provider.
Yes! We have a page coming soon, but Evervault is a QSA-audited service provider and we can reduce your PCI compliance scope to the simplest form (SAQ-A)
Evervault (https://evervault.com/jobs) | Engineers, Designers, Interns | Dublin, Ireland or San Francisco, CA | ONSITE
By building the encryption engine for the web, we’re enabling developers to make the next generation of products as secure as possible, and to build in areas that have previously been too sensitive to build in.
We’re a team of seven, based primarily in Dublin, Ireland. We get things finished and obsess over minute details. We think rigorously and tinker quickly. We do the most challenging things first. We build, and don’t just talk about building. We’re generalists, and are not afraid of exploring unfamiliar domains. We keep things as simple as possible, but no simpler.
You may be a fit for Evervault if:
* You want to build durable infrastructure from ground zero.
* You can decide what to work on, and can teach yourself whatever you need to get things done.
* You understand that building something important means working long, hard, and smart — not two out of the three.
The things we spend most of our time on are:
* Applied Cryptography (fully-homomorphic encryption [1], post-quantum cryptography [2], trusted execution environments [3])
* Infrastructure (designing ultra-low latency systems backed by TEEs)
* Applications (we know that developers will never want slower implementation, so we invest tremendous energy into carefully crafting our interfaces & flows)
Our investors include Sequoia Capital, Kleiner Perkins, Index Ventures, Jeff Weiner (former CEO, LinkedIn), Dylan Field (CEO, Figma), Olivier Pomel (CEO, Datadog), and Alex Stamos (former CSO, Facebook).
We also offer paid internships year-round, and invite interns who impress us to join full-time.
Many know Shannon as the author of "A Mathematical Theory of Communication" and the founder of information theory, as well as the brain behind "Communication Theory of Secrecy Systems"
Both papers derive from a technical report, "A Mathematical Theory of Cryptography"[0], written by Shannon in 1945 — 3 years before his breakthrough papers in the Bell Labs Technical Journal.
