I may be mistaken, but i think the person you are replying to was pretending to be the kind of AI you were speaking of.

Just as a small bit of information, Dun & Bradstreet (DUNS) does this because they are called upon to assess risk and prevent fraud - it's about 10 times more likely with virtual addresses or registered agents.

I guess it raises the cost of fraud a bit (e.g. having to be physically present in the US during the DUNS application). But I'm wondering what kind of fraud the Play Store is trying to prevent with that requirement. Malware?

Starbucks has recently done a bit of a 180 on that.

YES! Nice to see someone else who knows about his cameo. "I was gonna make espresso..." Hackman ad libbed that line and the reason that it immediately fades to black afterwards is because the entire crew loudly cracked up, and they couldn't reshoot that line without everyone still getting the giggles.

This is perhaps the most random and stupid comment in this thread, but I always hear Lou Costello going "HEY MAMETTTTTTTTTT!!!!!" in my head when I see his name. (Yes, I know he's saying 'Abbott'.)

And of course "Crimson Tide." Good God, was he good in that one.

He was a force of nature embodying his role in Mississippi Burning. Very physical and I never realized how tall he was until you see him face down some redneck racists! He plays the in-the-trenches tough guy who makes Willem Dafoe look like a comparative dweeb.

I downloaded 2001 and I'm sorry Dave I can't finish this comment

I was surprised to learn what an awful person Melvil Dewey was.

> The US has strong free speech protection, stronger than European free speech protection.

For this to be said in the current circumstances shows either a political viewpoint or a lack of knowledge.

Additionally:

* In some European countries newspapers cannot publish the names of people on trial. In the US they can.

* In some European countries you cannot take pictures of people in public and publish them. In the US you can.

What's the name of the law in Germany that puts you in jail for Holocaust denial?

Wondering if you're thinking of some TOS episodes such as "Taste of Armageddon" or "The Ultimate Computer" (M5)?
