I don't have links or anything handy, so take this with a bit of a grain of salt, but I _have_ seen things that confirm my anecdata that sugar free drinks are pretty horrible for your gut microbiome. I do still prefer them to their calorie-dense versions when I have one, but I think it's worth being very cautious about drinking tons of the stuff and assuming it's at all "better".
The main idea for me was to just reduce the barrier to entry so that writing more was too easy to avoid. I already use Notion for taking notes throughout the day, so transitioning to also jotting down blog thoughts has been very easy and has increased the amount of writing that I do.
A few years back I built a tool that pulled your data from MyFitnessPal and calculated a running TDEE for you, so that it was easy to adjust week to week. It was very useful to me and I managed to get somewhere in the range of 100 active users before I ended up moving on to other projects.
I say that to say good luck, I think your app will be useful!

Hey, just so you know, the front page has infinite scroll on the content, but in order to access any content in the footer I had to open source and find the `href` that way.
For a lay user, that means they'd have to scroll through your entire database of content to access the privacy policy link, unless they have it bookmarked or have previously visited for autofill or can guess the path.
I too have had more spam calls from Datadog than any other tech company. Their product seems great but after what feels like harassment, I’ve never wanted to give them my money.
As someone allergic to those stupid cold calls, this is real disappointing to hear—I hadn't been exposed, presumably because I'm already a customer and have been for years.
As much as I love the product, I'll have to reconsider my usage of Datadog in future projects.

If you enjoy this at all, I recommend checking out the rest of this site or at least the submissions of it here on HN. There is a ton of super interesting content.
I also mentioned this last time - so this is the last time I'll do it - but Bret Devereaux's work consistently hits the front page of HN because it is excellent quality. Adjunct professors are not paid a lot (sometimes even less than minimum wage annualized). Please consider donating!
