I just googled confused what a "Melania screening" (Thought it was like a sort of security screening, maybe all the ICE is messing with my head) is. First time i heard about the Movie. This feels like one more step the Trump fam. took to become some sort of celebrity-king thing.
Bezos gave $40m to make the movie. It was a way to maintain his companies position. It's standard oligarch tribute to the godfather. See Russia or Hungary for further examples.
The movie cost nowhere near that much to make. Melania got the money. It was her very own little grift, while her husband and his children have been extracting literally billions.
I might be misremembering or mixing memories but i remember something about them only storing the hash of the number.
So the FBI cant ask what phone number is tied to an account, but if a specific phone number was tied to the specific account? (As in, Signal gets the number, runs it through their hash algorythm and compares that hash to the saved one)

It would be absolutely trivial for the FBI to hash every single assigned phone number and check which one matches. Hashing only provides any anonymity if the source domain is too large to be enumerable.
You don't even need to think about how the hashing scheme and salt is set up. If Signal can check if a phone number matches the hash in any reasonable amount of time (which is the whole point of keeping a hash in the first place) then the FBI can just do that for all phone numbers with very realistic compute resources once they get Signal to cough up the details of the algorithm and magic numbers used.
Well, i also would rather use Windows 11 than ubuntu. (I probably would also rather pay for Windows than ubuntu)
Every time i tried to use ubuntu it was the worst OS/Linux experience i ever had. A friend wanted to try linux once, picked ubuntu because its a "noob friendly" distro, and i had a "critical system error" pop up before even booting up once.
And this is by far the most stable experience i had with ubuntu.
Also ubuntu is ugly and slow (In my experience, In my opinion).

Everytime i use an iphone it drives me insanely insane. I dont understand how this isnt one of the most common tech complaints i hear.
To be honest, i think that once you are a target big enough, there is literally nothing you can do. Sure you can drag it out (and maybe if you are skilled enough for quite long), but eventually there will be some leak, might it be a bug, your own fault, someone elses fault or just bad luck. No matter the reason, once something slips through, its through and will be used against you.
Why not just add the GOG games to Steam as non Steam games?
Isnt that better anyway than having to launch GOG from the Steam BPM just to launch a game from their BPM?
Why would i want to launch a seperate launcher to launch my games?
While i dont have kids, i guess you dont either. Because usually kids dont drive cars, atleast i didnt when i was in elementary school.
